How fit are our kids?
Mark Struck cranked up the music so the fourth-grade gym class could hear the high-pitched ding. Twelve kids, crouched and ready to sprint, were lined up on one side of the hot gym at Laura B. Anderson Elementary a few days after school started. The other half of the class sat along the adjacent wall, ready to keep track of the runs completed and waiting to go next. "Go!" Struck yelled.
